Nathaniel King is an author and poet from Cornwall, UK. His debut poetry pamphlet, Ghost Clinic, was published with Broken Sleep Books in 2023, and received an Eric Gregory Award by the Society of Authors in 2024.

He has been widely published in UK and international magazines, and is currently completing a creative-critical PhD at Royal Holloway, researching landscape poetics and W.S Graham’s relationship to St Ives Modernist painting. 

He has experience facilitating creative writing workshops for adults and young people, as well as teaching secondary and further education, at institutions such as The University of Cambridge and Royal Holloway, University of London. He currently teaches and works as a First Story poet-in-residence, and lives in Cambridgeshire in a house on the river with his cat, Parsnip.
